Question 7

The group did a lot of research while looking in to production companies that would suit our thriller. We came across many production companies, independent and mainstream but we eventually felt like we wanted a well-known and highly profitable production company. We wanted our thriller to be in cinemas and advertised highly to increase profit and make the film a thrilling hit. Therefore we chose the production companies 'Jerry Bruckheimer' and 'WWE productions'. Both these production companies are well known and produce thrillers.

Jerry Bruckheimer has produced movies such as 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and TV series such as 'CSI', both of these have a thrilling nature but CSI relates closely to our thriller as it shows many of the same themes for example investigations, tragedies and shocking and outrages behaviour portrayed by evil antagonists.

Our other production company 'WWE productions' has produced movies such as 'The Call' which also closely relates to our thriller with creepy and shocking events occurring throughout. The Call inspired us with some of our ideas, we were inspired by some camera angles for example the scene shot from the crack in a door. Also the shots when the camera follows the antagonists feet.

WWE productions and Jerry Bruckheimer distribute their products globally, so countries all over the world are able to obtain their movies whether they are on screen or straight to DVD. Both of these companies show their films to multiplexes around the world just as we would wish ours to be shown.

The production company we made is called 'Hidden Productions'. It is a large company that produces major movie but is bases itself solely on thrillers. It distributes worldwide to multiplexes everywhere.

Our thriller would go straight to cinema and then after a while would be put on DVD and soon after that on paid for channels before eventually being shown on planes and TV.
